Dr Jodi Hirst is a urologist with experience extending across a broad spectrum of urological conditions.
Her special interests and specific expertise include:
- All aspects of reconstructive and functional urology, managing
- Urethral disease
- Urinary incontinence
- Upper and lower tract reconstruction
- Neuropathic bladder
- Bladder overactivity
- Urological conditions in the adolescent
- Stone disease
- Lower urinary tract symptoms
- Urodynamic assessment
Dr Hirst undertook her surgical and urological training in Brisbane, receiving her fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) in 2016. Her specialist urological training in Reconstructive Urology was undertaken at the Institute of Urology, University College Hospital London.
In mid-2017, she returned to Brisbane to take up consultant urological appointments at the Mater Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in Brisbane. Her current appointment is as a specialist urologist at the Mater Hospital. She is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland and a member of the Urological Society of Australia and New Zealand, and the Society of Genitourinary Reconstructive Surgeons.
